Hi All! I know I have to find more time to get on here and tell you all how it is going. I am at 8 weeks on the Dr's diet and I have lost 12 lbs. Is it enough? NO! But I guess I have to start somewhere. I wanted this to go faster. Doc says "slow and steady is the way to go". I sure hope he is right.
My biggest downfall are weekends. That is when we get together with friends and family and eat, drink and be merryy. How often have you had healthy munchies when you are visiting someplace? It's spinach dip with bread, chips and queso or cheese and crackers. But the biggest downfall is the drinks. To be true to this whole thing you can't really drink. A drink counts as a carb. I haven't quite figured out the 'work around' for this and I don't actually think that there is one.
I still log my food every day and my portion control has gotten a lot better. I have even learned how to eat out AND leave some on my plate! I'm getting better at this!
The part that really chaps my hide is that Jim has been doing it too only not as long as me and he is down 15 lbs! I have no idea what he is doing that is different. I keep telling myself that guys lose faster but I honestly don't know.
I suppose I had better get back to work. My lunch is almost over. I had a sliced up orange pepper and a 1/4 cup cottage cheese. Perfect lunch! See ya all later!
