Injury-day 30

Well, it's been 30 days since I got hurt.  A few things have transpired since I was here last.  Unfortunately, not weight loss related although I still haven't gained anything.  (Knock on wood)

I've been able to get out a few times in the past week or so.  Feels good to be a little active.  On Sunday Jim took me out to Mark and Chan's to get the boat out of storage.  Basically, I got in the truck, got out, sat in a chair, got back in and came home.  Had a great day..until I got home.  I ended up getting my crutches caught on the door frame coming into the house and put weight on my bad side.  Brought the pain level back up again. Drat!

Tuesday, Kate and Carly took me out to lunch to celebrate Carly's birthday.  Had a great time!  Tried Japanese food and Sake!  It was fun to spend time with the girls!

Yesterday, Wednesday, Kate picked me up and took me to my doctor's appointment.  The first one since leaving the hospital.  It went pretty well.  I am showing bone growth so that's good.  However, it's slow so they are thinking it will be a 12 week kind of heal.  Ugh!  He says he wants to see me again in another month.  I inform him that there is now way I can stay at home for another month without someone having me committed because I am going crazy!!  He decided it would be good for me if I was distracted so he ok'd me to go back to work part time.  I start on Monday!!!!

Today I am pretty tired.  I am thinking it is because I have been active.  That makes me worry a bit about next week.  Taking that into consideration, I am going to start in the mornings and that way I can get some rest (hopefully) before the girls get home from school.

I still don't sleep at night.  I have slept one full night in the last 30 days.  Two nights ago I discovered that I am able to roll onto my left side for short bursts of time.  What a relief it is to change positions!

So, on the weight loss topic, I weighed myself the other day and was down a whopping 43 lbs.  Considering I have been sitting on my butt for 30 days, I figure that's pretty good!

Be thankful for what you have!  You never know when your boat will get rocked.
