When a doctor tells you to slowly add fruits and veggies back into your diet he means slloowwlllyy. Yesterday I had brought a couple snacks to work. Red and orange peppers and apples. I ended up taking my lunch at 8:30 am to take Rylee to the walk in when she woke up on day 3 of a migraine. I didn't get a chance to grab lunch so I ate a pepper for lunch and a few hours later, an apple. By nightfall I had tummy cramps. This morning, it worked its way through but now I know what he meant by slowly. Today I had just the pepper. So far, no tummy cramps! Yikes!!
I feel like my old self again. I don't look like my old self what with all the scars but if I don't look then it doesn't matter. It's good to be able to get up the steps without the railing and I have started carrying my own laundry and taking the garbage out by myself. I still have a hard time getting things up the steps but I'll get there. One thing at a time!
On other notes, it is Friday and I am going on a date with my hubby!! There is a guy from our church who sings and he is so good. I haven't seen him play in a few years. I am looking forward to it. Tomorrow I have a party at a girlfriends and go see a hockey game and Sunday is the Super Bowl. Big, fun weekend!! I am looking forward to it. And I am going to sleep in tomorrow!
I wore my hair curly today. Not sure what I think. I do know that all the hair drying and straightening is aggravating the arthritis that has crept it's way into my right shoulder. At least if I wear it curly, I can dry it half way and quit. Takes only a few minutes instead of almost an hour.
So, I have to go get ready for my date. Have a great weekend everyone!!
