So far so good...

I have a long way to go on this diet thing.  I have the little sheets that the dietician gave me and I fill them out pretty well.  The first week or more was spent figuring out an accurate serving size.  Then my husband pointed out last night that I had 2 servings of fruit in my blender--I only had one left for the day.  Ugh!  I'll get it, I will. 

My biggest downfalls are weekends and miscellaneous stuff.  Let me explain.  Last Sat I got up had coffee, made a smoothie and ran out the door to do a fundraiser for the dance team.  It took me 2 hours to get the smoothie finished.  I had a late lunch of a hot dog--a large one.  I finally got home, dead on my feet and went to walmart. Spent over an hour there, got home, put everything away and headed to a friends house for a big gathering of friends.  Too much drink and too much food.  Sun was similar.  As for miscellaneous stuff; I typically forget to write down my morning coffee and if I snitch a bite of something the girls are eating.  You know, those little things we don't think about. 

I have been getting better and better at portions.  I can't believe how hard it is to adjust to eating smaller and more often.  The other thing I forget is to get all my meals in!  Sometimes I miss a snack or two at work.  Not supposed to do that but I get busy and don't think about it till I'm in the car on the way home. 

However, I think I am down 11 lbs now.  I will have a definite next week when I go in for my appt.  Yesterday 2--yes 2!--people told me that they could tell.  A good friend at lunch and another good friend who also doubles as a dance coach for my youngest. Made me feel pretty good.
