I made it through another weekend. My incision is still draining and the nausea is insane! Oh, and I now have on my very last ostomy bag. I have talked to the clinic more times today than I care to. The wound care nurses are amazing. They are trying to track my order of supplies and in a pinch have some back ups set aside for me at the desk. I just need someone to go get them. I left a message for my doctor regarding the nausea. It has been a 24 hour battle since the middle of Fri night. It had been on and off before that. I let him know that the meds he gave me just aren't cutting it and that I have even added a Pepcid to the mix and still nothing. His suggestion or at least his nurses: try 7up and eat small frequent meals. And the incision draining is normal. Otherwise I should be good until my appointment on Dec 3rd.
It took me 2 meals and 2 naps today to have enough energy to get through a shower and bag change ordeal. I got a comb through my hair but we are doing an air dry thing today. Definitely need a 3rd nap.
Trying to be grateful and thankful and let god help me through this mess, but dang it's hard.
