Closer to the end!

So Friday I had to fast.  Now, if you have ever been riding the edge of dehydration, you know fasting probably isn't going to be the thing to do but the test requires it so I proceed.  No food or water from 8:30 on.  They will give me water with contrast in it--doesn't really taste-- around 2:45 and my test is at 4:45.  We are early.  My ride likes to be early, bless her heart.  And she is so patient with me.  Love her!  I'm having a tough time.  Losing focus, dizzy, nauseous, etc.  I get my water, take the pills the doc gave me the day before and wait.  The scan takes minutes and we head home.

On the way home, Putsie stops and gets me an eggnog shake.  I am thrilled. I get home and I am wiped out.  I heat up some leftovers for supper and sit down to eat.  It is at this moment my bag decides to let go of my skin.  All of my supplies are in the bathroom and it is currently occupied.   As soon as the door opens I bolt for it.  I have had so much water by this point that it is everywhere.  I end up going through 3 towels trying to get to a point where I can stick a new bag on.  Not sure if the shake was too foamy or the stress of the bag break was too much but now I am hanging over the toilet emptying my stomach.   Time to start over.  Going to have a smaller portion of supper and eat it slower, and start drinking slow and steady.  It took all day Sat to get my feet back under me.  Nausea, can't focus, cold, etc. Hate this.  By 8:30 or so I am starting to feel like a person again. Sheesh!  However, when the bag broke yesterday I didn't use one of the rings that they gave me.  It was hard enough just getting the bag on. But today I am paying for it.  My skin is raw again.  Hurts like hell.

While I was on my way home, the Dr called Rylee's phone and left a voice mail.  (I have got to figure out where in my file that number is because Sanford is always using it)  He said that I look to be healing very well, there are no underlying issues that were seen and he sees no reason we can't move surgery forward a couple of weeks!!  This could all be in my past by Jan!!  He said he would get in touch with me on Monday.  Since Rylee will be in school, I am going to have to call right away at 8 to leave my number and see if I can get it fixed in the system!  I couldn't be happier.

Tomorrow my friends mom is going to cut my hair.  It's falling out like crazy!   I hope I have the energy.  I have been taking it easy all day today and have the shower all set up for myself  for morning.  I just have to keep this bag on for another 10 hours or so.  I know it wants to let go and I can see the spot where it will do it.  But I would rather take it off and shower without it so I know everything is clean under there.  Wish me luck!

Thanks for following along, also.  It makes it so much easier than having to repeat the story all the time.

Love you all!
