Life sure is busy

Wow!  It seems like I never have a moment to myself.  Rylee's dance team is in crunch time for fundraising.  The goal is to be done by the end of Sept.  So that means a fundraisier every weekend starting last weekend.  So tired of fundraising!  School started for both girls and so did dance.  Neither of them ever really quit as they dance all summer but back to full tempo now.  Mi Vida Loca--my crazy life!

As for the diet.......I have been really good at the low carb thing.  Not perfect, but really good.  I have dropped 5 lbs.  I have veggies for lunch and a supper of meat and veggies and I am trying to eat something for breakfast every day.  That is a hard habit to get into.  I am normally a coffee and go kinda girl.  This week I have also started taking a multi vitamin--another hard habit to get into but on the up side it makes me eat breakfast or it comes back on me.  So I am eating breakfast =)

I did break down last night though.  I had macaroni and cheese.  I know!  How bad was that!  I just couldn't resist.  It made it even harder that my work week has been really messed up and I felt like crap.  That brings on the emotional side of everything and paired with a pan on mac in front of me I was lost.  I did use some restraint though and gauged how much I ate so I wouldn't over do it.

I have been using ground turkey in all my stuff instead of burger.  It fries up with no grease (sometimes sticks to the pan), it's cheaper and I discovered that I like the taste of it better.  So does Erin.  Healthwise, I have no clue which is better, but my brain tells me if I don't have to drain the grease, then I am on the right track.

I started my volunteer position as a confirmation guide last night.  I really miss working with kids and this is a great outlet for me.  I am excited for the year to get going and to get to know the kids.

Another thing I have been forgetting is what I am thankful or grateful for.  So here goes:
Today I am grateful for the memories that I hold dear to me.  Memories of my dad, aunt Mary, Grandparents and so many others who made my life special and helped make me who I am.  I am grateful for healthy, busy, active kids.  And even though I am not liking this week at work, I am very thankful to be here and to be able to bring home a paycheck.

Thanks everyone and Luv ya!
Sue
