on the road again!

It has been 3 weeks since I went to the Dr and he told me to go low carb.  I am struggling with this because there is so much conflicting info out there I don't know what I am doing.  He set me up with his dietitian and I met with her yesterday.  WOW!  I thought I had a lot of info to digest before!  She tweaked his recommendations and put me on a 1000 calorie, lo carb diet.  I have a list of foods to eat and some to avoid and some that are to be eaten in moderation.  I also am required to eat at least 5-6 times a day!  And have a major protein at 3 of those meals.  I have been known to not have an actual protein for days in a row!  So now I need to figure out how to eat all day and not take in too much.  Yep, my head is spinning!

She gave me these journal pages and I am supposed to fill them out each day.  I started this morning.  I ate breakfast and when I went to write it down I realized I had already eaten wrong.  I got to work and forgot to bring the 2 snacks and lunch with me.  This is going to be a challenge.  I am going to just have to let this one slide thru and try to do better on Mon.  I know that you are thinking Mon?  Why not tomorrow?  Renaissance Festival, that's why.  I'm taking the day off.  OK, actually 2 days off. 

On a good note:  in the last 3 weeks I have lost 7.5 lbs of fat and gained 2 lbs of lean body mass (might be muscle but I'm skeptical) for a total loss of 5.5 lbs!!!!  I did it!  I'm on the road to a better, healthier me!
