It has been too long. I am-according to my scale, I will weigh in again on Wed- down 41 lbs now. About a month ago it was pretty clear that I had plateaued out. Dr H gave me something that I take at night and it is supposed to jump start my metabolism. I did some Internet research on it and found that other Dr's are using it for the same thing. It did jump start things and I am losing weight again.
We went to Las Vegas 2 weeks ago and had a blast. Didn't eat, didn't drink enough water and definitely didn't get enough sleep. But I still managed to keep my weight down. Although the funky scale at the office told them how messed up my water levels were! OOOPS!
The hardest thing for me, I have found, is finding and wanting to find time to exercise. It simply isn't something I have ever enjoyed. I never excelled at sports, heck, let's be honest; if my friends were picking the teams I would still be last picked! While most people enjoy a walk, I never really have. I bought dog breeds specifically for the fact that they don't need exercise. How sad is that? Dr H told me to start toning. My biggest problem is that I don't know how? And how do you know if you are actually doing it right. While Nicole and I were chatting one day at work, I mentioned something about WiiFit and how it used to kick my butt. Then it clicked! Duh! That is toning and the reason it kicked my butt is because I was doing it right! She gave me her WiiFit Plus because she no longer has the balance board a bunch of exercise pants and I vowed to get started.
I go downstairs, get everything turned on and set up only to find that I cannot find a wii remote with more than a bar left. I crawl around digging under furniture to find all the rechargeable batteries and get them charging. I still have a bar. I figure I am good for 10 minutes. I go to get started only to find that the balance board is also dead!!! That takes 4 batteries! Of for Pete's sake! I go down this morning to rotate batteries out of the charger and into the various devises and sure enough--they won't charge. Not sure if the batteries are bad or the charger! UGH!
The weather has been fantastic and we grilled out 3 times this week! To me, this is meat season. Bring on the protein!
Holy Crap....41 pounds?! Congrats!! That is a huge accomplishment! You keep going girl, you can't stop now....you are HOT! I bet you are looking hot too. ;)
ReplyDeleteI have to admit...exercise is hard. I was doing so good until vacation. As soon as something interrupts your "routine" it is so hard to get into it again. Good luck with the WiiFit - if you manage to get it going!
