Life is interesting

I had my yearly physical a week ago.  My PA walked in and said "I am so glad that I am able to see you".  Here she had been following my progress and knew just how close to not seeing her I had come. I adore my PA.  The other thing she told me was that I am to not EVER do a sit up!  Not to sit up in bed but to roll to the side and push myself up.  Not to gain weight and not to lift anything I deem too heavy.  I am a major risk for hernias.  She said she sees them all the time in cases like mine.  I said it's because no one tells you after surgery.  Had I not had this appointment, I would have gone back to life as normal and probably come in to see her with a hernia.

The big question everyone asks--well, I guess there are 2--is "Can I see your scars?" and "Can you have sex?"  Yes, and yes.  I have no modesty left and if it curbs your curiosity, what the hey!  Have a look. And I am back to normal.  All the way around.  Thanks for asking.  Yep, that was sarcasm.

Now my biggest issue is the fact that I have avascular necrosis in my left hip.  I had my right hip replaced because of it.  And my stupid sacroiliac joint is out of whack.  I am limping like crazy.  I need to see a chiropractor and that will help with the sacroiliac joint.  The hip; I need replaced and that will be a long time coming.  Last time, I took a night job in order to save up the money in order to take the time off.  I might have to go that route again since I have no time off or short term disability to work off of.

I am planning to get another tattoo.  This one strictly for me.  It will be on my belly near my scars and will say "Celebrate Everything"  and will have daisies around it.  It will remind me how fragile life is and that every moment needs to be cherished and celebrated.

On a totally unrelated note, I found a great shop in Fargo that has a web site.  If you need a quirky girlfriend gift, sister gift or even sentimental gift, this is the place to go.  check my links on the right side.  I will add it.  It is called Buyer at Large. http://www.buyeratlarge.com/  Love the place!  Now go shopping!!
